Our Dams and Hydraulics Group in our Camp Hill, PA office is currently looking for a highly motivated Water Resources Engineering Intern. Gannett Fleming is recognized as a national leader in dams and water resources engineering, providing a comprehensive range of services for dams, flood control, water supply, and transportation projects – from planning, engineering, and design through construction management and decommissioning. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience working on real-world engineering projects, collaborate with other engineers and experience the consulting engineering profession while beginning your career development. 

As a Water Resources Engineering Intern, you will work on our assortment of exciting and challenging projects. Your assignments will be designed to develop understanding of the profession and our ethical responsibilities.  Your responsibilities may include:

  • Providing support for Water Resources projects including new dams, dam rehabilitation, and flood control projects as well as other hydraulic structures. 
  • Assisting our engineers with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and calculations and presenting results.
  • Helping to perform field reviews of project sites to determine existing conditions to aid in the project design. 
  • Assisting with data collection or research to support on-going projects.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be currently enrolled in a 4-year accredited engineering program
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • A focus or interest in water resources engineering
  • Proficiency with computer software including Word, Excel, CADD, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SITES, or other water resources software and modeling programs
  • Experience with GIS applications and computer programming
