What You Will Do

Gannett Fleming is looking for Organizational Change Management Director (OCMD) Specialist to take the lead delivering business transformation and change initiatives enterprise wide. The OCMD  will focus on the people side of change – including changes to business processes, systems and technology, internal roles and organization structures. The primary responsibility will be to implement change management strategies and plans that maximize employee adoption, drive communication strategies and minimize resistance, promote higher utilization and greater proficiency in adapting to change.

The overarching objective of these change management efforts is to increase benefit realization, drive value creation and promote ROI. The  OCMD be responsible for coaching and guiding project teams in defining and executing change management plans to deliver stakeholder engagement, business impact assessments and transition plans that ultimately result in business transformation. This position will work directly with stakeholders across business lines, regions and core business functions to plan, develop, and execute various change management strategies and deliverables (i.e. Stakeholder Analysis, Change Impact Assessment, Communication Analysis, Transition Plan and Adoption Plan).

  • Guide the advancement of the change management discipline and ensure the understanding and adoption of common methodology and standards by leading training and providing coaching
  • Identifies and evaluates the impact of organizational and change initiatives on stakeholder groups.
  • Develops and facilitates the implementation of a change management strategy
  • Develops a set of actionable and targeted change management plans – including communication plan, sponsor roadmap, coaching plan, training plan, and resistance management plan
  • Develops and manages the change management work-plan
  • Manage the relationships and interfaces with multiple initiatives by serving as a liaison with project teams, work leads, stakeholders and champions.
  • Advises on the implications and risks, and makes recommendations on factors that may impact change adoption and sustainability
  • Establish key performance indicators and develop metrics to track execution, monitor progress against key change management deliverables and measure success of the change strategies
  • Work to drive faster adoption, improve utilization, and create 
  • Establish regular meeting and reporting cadence with the cross functional business partners to provide timely and accurate updates on key progress results, achievements, issues and risks
  • Assess change impact, identify and manage anticipated resistance
  • Support project teams in integrating change management activities into project plans
  • Provide methods and guidance to business leaders to make informed decisions which facilitate the adoption of supporting change process
  • Collaborates with the Communications, Learning, and designated Human Resource professionals in the formulation of particular plans and activities to support project implementation

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Organizational Change Management, Communications, Organizational Psychology or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience leading Organizational Change Management or related career experience and changing work environments
  • Experience leading large-scale organizational change efforts
  • Proven ability support change management activities in accordance to defined process and Company OCM methodology 
  • Proven project management, problem solving, people persuasion, negotiation skills are imperative
  • Ability to communicate across all levels of the organization, present complex ideas concisely and clearly articulate technical ideas to a non-technical audience both verbally and in writing is necessary.
  • Demonstrated business acumen with knowledge and understanding of business issues, priorities, goals and strategy is necessary.
  • Proven collaboration, facilitation and negotiation skills are required.
  • Able to work efficiently and accurately under pressure, meet deadlines, deliver within an integrated team, present a professional demeanor and work well independently is essential.
  • In addition, troubleshooting and organizational skills with a can-do attitude and the ability to adjust to changing requirements are needed.
  • Proven ability to provide and recommend innovative ideas with the skill to align projects with Company strategy is vital.
  • Capable of influencing others to move toward a common vision and build consensus
  • Ability to work effectively with people at all levels of the organization
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft office, including Word, Excel, Project, Visio and PowerPoint are necessary.
  • Maintaining confidentiality, treating others with respect and upholding Company values are key attributes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree strongly preferred
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) designation preferred
  • Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools (PROSCI certification desired, but not required)
  • Experience in consulting engineering services preferred
  • 5-10 years previous project management experience strongly preferred
