Responsibilities:

Gannett Fleming’s Global Water Business Line is looking for a recognized water/wastewater industry professional to serve as Northeast Regional Leader, focused on strategy, growth, project execution and client development throughout the region defined as New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.]

Key Objectives Inluide:

  • Work with senior management team to expand geographic, technical and experience capabilities through targeted acquisitions, strategic teaming, and hiring of talented professionals.
  • Develop and sustain a client focused culture and enhanced organizational framework that increases our ability to identify, position and capture new clients and projects.
  • Develop professionals with requisite skills, both client facing and technical, across the company via shared experience opportunities, new hires, training and coaching.
  • Maintain core financial strength through retention of existing clients, fully considering succession of client managers and its impact on client satisfaction and retention.
  • Grow revenue and enhance profitability.

This position has significant impact in driving the strategic direction of Gannett Fleming’s Water Business line in the Northeast Accordingly, this individual will lead market development and growth initiatives by:

  • Developing and directing execution of the overall Water Business Line strategy and growth plans.
  • Ensuring proper communication and collaboration within the business line, regionally and nationally, and collaborating with related Business Lines, including Earth Science, Facilities and Construction Management.
  • Driving business development and capture management collaboratively through the business line team.
  • Leading effective Client Management.
  • Serving as Client / Capture Manager on strategic initiatives.

The position has responsibility for regional performance goals defined in the business plan. Accordingly, this individual will lead Water Business Line operations by:

  • Directing the Water Business Plan execution through the Area Water Business Line Leaders.
  • Holding the regional business line accountable for growth and operational profitability.
  • Helping attain universal compliance with the “Best Practices” and quality standards developed by the internal Practice Leadership Team
  • Providing oversight of the practices (staff) in the Region associated with the Water Business Line

Job Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Civil, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License required.
  •  Broad proven experience in the water/wastewater industry including engineering design, Construction Management, Program Management and engineering organization operations management.
  • Minimum 20 years of experience and proven track record of successful revenue generation and business development with engineering organizations of similar or greater size and complexity.
  • Industry leader with the proven ability to anticipate, articulate, and respond to national/regional issues that impact the water business and the construction industry.
  • Proven knowledge and relationships with major water agencies and companies.
  • Professional Network of potential teaming partners, major contractors, specialty subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Proven experience with the full spectrum of alternative delivery systems, as well as ability to assess feasibility of alternative delivery prospects.
  • Track record of building effective teams, nurturing individuals and collaborating with others.
