Responsibilities:

Gannett Fleming is looking for an ambitious, self-starter to join our Business Advisory and Infrastructure Management Solutions team as Senior Consultant focused in the transportation sector. If your desire is not to be 'pigeon-holed', but instead be able to grow your expertise in areas that may include  capital planning and prioritization, maintenance management, or asset management for transportation infrastructure. You will apply your technical knowledge in collaboration with clients and colleagues as part of a dynamic fast paced multidisciplinary team. We seek strong communicators who are problem solvers that combine excellent analytical skills and the ability to master new concepts quickly with meticulous attention to detail to deliver high quality work. 

Our business advisory and infrastructure management services provides advisory services that improve the performance of infrastructure assets. Our mission is to partner with infrastructure owners and service providers to improve mobility, reliability, safety, and security. Our focus is on improving outcomes and delivering value to our clients. We work at the policy, management, and operational levels. Our projects typically include some combination of the following: organizational change, business process improvement, capital plan/program development, maintenance management, and technology development.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Managing tasks and projects on client engagements
  • Provide expertise on a range of asset management and business improvement projects.
  • Supporting business development efforts by assisting in the creation of proposals and collateral, participating in client visits, and attending conferences and other events.

Job Requirements

  • Required: Bachelors’ degree with a major in public administration, management, economics, engineering, or similar degree required.
  • Minimum of 5 years professional experience in the transportation sector or infrastructure sector.
  • Advanced degree in a relevant field strongly preferred (economics, engineering, management science, public administration, or related field.)
  • Experience in asset management, with a particular focus on gap assessment, asset management planning and knowledge of standards including PAS-55 and ISO: 55001 strongly preferred.
  • Background in transit operation is preferred (either client-side or through consulting assignments) – but not required, must be able to apply asset management knowledge to the transit sector;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrable experience in effectively communicating at all levels within a client organization
  • Ambition and demonstrated ability for rapid advancement to take on leadership roles on engagements.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced multidisciplinary environment
  • Be organized with a capacity and ability to balance priorities and meet deadlines;
  • Strong interpersonal skills, works well within a team and high emotional IQ
  • Ability to travel
