Gannett Fleming's Security and Safety Practice is looking for an experienced Security & Safety Consultant for our Transit and Rail team (title to be determined based on experience). Consulting services may include physical protection systems development, design, implementation and policy development, FTA FRA compliance, MAP-21 compliance, TSA or SSO compliance, hazard analysis, threat and vulnerability assessments, mitigation strategies, emergency response plans, safety and/or security planning guidelines, safety and/or security investment prioritizing, and/or safety and/or security policy recommendations. 

The experienced consultant will have technical expertise in the area of planning, project management experience, the ability to work with cross-functional teams, and the potential to support business development activities to include:

  • Proposal development in response to RFI/RFQ/RFPs
  • Develop and maintain relationships with consultants, clients and client prospects
  • Effectively present and communicate Gannett Fleming service offerings
  • Attend trade shows, industry conferences and meetings
  • Provide assistance with conducting research and reporting findings

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Graduate Degree in one or more of the following fields: electrical, communications, structural design; management science and engineering; safety, security; planning, public policy; or the equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of demonstrated experience in the safety and/or security field
  • Experience working with rail and/or bus security and/or safety issues
  • Superior analytical, interpersonal, writing, and verbal communications skills
  • Demonstrated strength in communicating complex concepts effectively and persuasively to individuals and in presentations with multi-disciplined groups.
