We are looking for Automation and Control Programming Engineers to support Systems Engineering Group projects and our growing business in Gannett Fleming’s Corporate and Regional Offices.  This position will be based out of one of the following offices: Camp Hill (PA), Valley Forge (PA), New York (NY), Piscataway (NJ), Marlton (NJ), Baltimore (MD).  It is an excellent time to come join our team.

Technical Experience:

Experience with various control and automation design aspects including but not limited to:

  • PLC programming using IEC 61131 standards
  • Familiar with using add-on instructions and predefined HMI faceplates using global asset tagging
  • Control system architecture/networking design implementing NIST Cybersecurity Standards Tier 1-4
  • Server architecture design and configuration using virtual servers with redundancy capability
  • Webserver server setup and configuration
  • PLC control and hardwired relay panel design drawings and BOMs
  • Knowledge of all major communication and I/O protocols
  • SCADA / HMI programming development (Rockwell and Wonderware required)
  • Process Historian, Alarm and Event databases, and associated reporting systems
  • Batch process and PID loops
  • Ability to understand control narratives and translate into field programming
  • Conduct factory and field testing of automation systems
  • Commissioning support

Experience with the following Software Platforms is preferred:

  • AB Rockwell Automation, GE, Modicon, and Control Microsystems PLC platforms
  • GE, Rockwell Automation, Wonderware HMI / SCADA platforms
  • AB Rockwell Automation, GE, Schneider Electric OIT platforms
  • OSI PI, Rockwell historian, GE process historians
  • VMWare, HyperV
  • Win911, RACO alarm dialer systems
  • RSLinx, Kepserver, Archestra
  • Microsoft Office applications proficiency with SQL, Access, Excel
  • Autodesk AutoCAD and modeling applications

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Bachelor of Science Degree in engineering
  • Preference will be given to candidates with Professional Engineer License (PE), Engineer in Training (EIT), or ability to obtain within 6-12 months of hire.
  • Minimum of 5 years progressive experience in automation and controls
  • Solid knowledge of the consulting engineering profession
  • Experience in the creation of quality technical solutions and the design delivery of major automation projects.
  • Ability to travel to client locations as project assignments require
  • Strong communication skills
  • Will regularly interface with clients and multidisciplinary project team members
  • Must have a positive attuite to excellence, continual improvement, and innovation
