What You Will Do

As Gannett Fleming continues to grow and expand, we are looking for a talented team member to support our Architectural team in Piscataway, NJ. We rely on our architectural designers to enhance our team by bringing a unique perspective while fostering a learning environment in which architecture will thrive throughout the team.

In this role, you will need to be a motivated team player with the positive attitude to grow and develop your architectural skills, in addition to a passion for design, graphic presentation, and technology that will prepare you and our team for the demands of our clients. You must be able to produce modern, quality results in a fast-paced, intellectual environment.

Our team will need you to collaborate on projects that will involve design and technical elements, as well as producing conceptual renderings and architectural drawings for all stages of projects. As a architectural designer, you are an integral part of our team and our company.

  • Develop presentations and designs using modern graphics and technology;
  • Produce conceptual renderings and architectural drawings for projects in all stages of design;
  • Assist in preparation of project specifications;
  • Review shop drawings and construction progress;
  • Collaborate with our team for public and private sector projects.


Minimum Qualifications

  • 1 to 5 years’ experience in Architectural Design;
  • Proficiency in software such as Revit Architecture, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite and/or SketchUp, and Microsoft Office;
  • Knowledge of modeling and rendering, and numerous building types such as institutional, technology, commercial, industrial, and government;
  • Knowledge of International Building Codes, NFPA, ADA, LEED and related standards;
  • To be an effective writer, communicator, and creative, detailed designer;
  • The ability to work collaboratively with staff and clients on multiple projects.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in Architecture;
  • Experience with standards ANSI, ASTM, ASHRAE, NFPA, ADA, LEED.
